So you’re married now!! Yay!!! You have gorgeous photos that you can’t stop looking at and you go through your online gallery multiple times a day just reliving the day, ammirite? Been there, girl, been there. But let me ask you this, what do you do with your wedding photos after your gallery expires? Assuming you’ve downloaded them and backed them up responsibly (more on that here), how are you going to go through them and enjoy them?
Fun fact: most people nowadays either don’t print their wedding photos at all or just a few. Wait… didn’t you spend LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for those wedding photos?! And you’re only gonna bust them out a couple times a year on your scream?! Whaaaaaat?! Here’s why you should print your wedding photos instead of going the purely digital route:
1. Digital can fail: This is FOR SURE a huge thing to consider when deciding to print your wedding photos. While you should be safe if you’ve backed up your photos correctly, physical prints actually can’t get deleted, outdated, or corrupted. Cool, huh?!
2. Display that ish!: So there’s normally like the couple favorites that are printed in a smaller size and placed on a desk or whatnot, but what about getting SOME LARGE ASS PRINTS to really show that ish off?! It’s actual art, that you already paid for, and that’s actually OF you! How cool is that?!
If you’re looking to print your photos, please do so either through a professional lab locally, online, or through your gallery directly before it expires. If the store sells ANYTHING EXCEPT PRINTED PRODUCTS (cough cough pharmacies or all-in-one box stores) the colors WILL be off and it will not represent the editing that your photographer spent hours perfecting.
